ABOUT US
Susan and I are members of the Burmese Cat
Society, we are also members of the Burmese Cat Club, Jersey Cat Club & the Asian
Group Cat Society. We had previously bred & shown burmese in the mid 80's, and due
to work patterns and demands had to cease for a while, but always had burmese
pets. Following putting our daughters through university, we now have more time
on our hands (and more money - where does it all go ? ) and five years ago
ordered a blue girl of show quality.
Our little girl "Bronte" (Champion Nemorez
Mistyblues) finally arrived at the end of
August 1999 and we commenced showing her at the Doncaster show in October. She
is doing quite well, and we are very pleased. We enjoy the showing and
fortunately "Bronte" does to.
We intended to breed
again and decided that this time we would register a prefix, we decided on an
anagram of Sean and Sue and ended up with SeSuane
. (We did use this in the name
of a cat in the 80's)
Bronte had a litter of
three kittens in October 2000 the last one Sesuane
Pontes Sagramor ( Lord of the Stones of
Staines ( aka - Jeremiah )) sadly left us to
go and join his playmate a black oriental at our daughters house in January 2001.
We were very proud of him at his first show, the London Cat Club
at "Staines" .!!! 1st open & Best of Breed (BOB) together with three
1st's and a 2nd - well done Jeremiah. How fitting for his first
show.
He has gone on to take his first PC
at his first show as an adult - Well done Jeremiah.!
We used a Chocolate boy who carries blue
& Bronte herself carries chocolate, so we expected & got 50% boys and
girls of the following colours - Brown , Blue ,
Chocolate , Lilac .
Our "PeeWee"
(Beannocht
Etain ), a Chocolate girl (bred by Alison Beattie & Bruce Lauchlan) made her debut at the
Northern Counties show 2000 - 1st Open & BOB, well done Pees'.
See her piccy on the new mating chart. She went on to take a 1st Open
& BOB at the Burmese Cat Society show 2000. Pees now has two
CC's.
"Angelica Poppy" , (Rumba
Sesuane Angelica
) a red girl (bred by John & Helen Marriot Power) is maturing quite
quickly in true Rumba style and just like her relative Jasmin very quickly
established her hierarchical position of our cats. Currently known as Floppy
-Poppy due to her "Laid Back" nature and her uncanny ability to just flop down
anywhere for a fuss.
Our three girls each had a litter in 2001 and are
back out on the show bench, we have kept a kitten from each litter - "Charlotte", (Sesuane Jesuis Charlotte ) a brown girl from
Bronte x Grand Champion Katome ChoceeWallace, "Harly"(Sesuane Miss
Harlequin ) a brown tortie from
Poppy x Champion Beannocht Tanist, and Tizzy (Sesuane Ti Lung ) a Chocolate tortie from Peewee x
Champion Pegavi Frey. These three kittens are all maturing quite nicely and
will have
a litter soon, before returning to the showbench.
Our latest addition is Titus an
Egyptian Mau, (thanks Steve & Tommy) pictures of Titus will appear soon in
the picture gallery.
